Home Innovation Research Labs to Launch Omnibus Survey Mid-May 2013

As the housing market continues to rebound, building product manufacturers need to position themselves to be responsive to increased home builder and remodeler demands in a new and evolving marketplace. How will home builders and remodelers be making building materials decisions? Which new products will they be interested in purchasing? Home Innovation Research Labs is launching an omnibus survey to answer these important questions.

The anticipated increase in housing construction will generate a more active purchase decision-making cycle. This could create opportunities for product manufacturers, but it could also create market threats—an important distinction for a business to know ahead of time. A quick and cost-effective way to gauge the industry’s reaction to a new building product or assess a product’s competitive advantage is to sponsor one or more questions in the upcoming Omnibus Survey of Builders and Remodelers, one of the many survey products available through Home Innovation Research Labs.

No matter what a manufacturer’s market intelligence objectives, Home Innovation Labs can include questions to meet those objectives, and the process is easy:

  • Sponsors supply Home Innovation Labs with their questions, or provide their research objectives and allow Home Innovation to draft the questions.
  • The web-based survey goes out to more than 300 qualified participants in mid-May.
  • Responses remain confidential to sponsors, and tabulations are provided within two weeks of fielding the survey.
  • The fee to participate is dependent upon the number and complexity of questions, but typically ranges from $500 to $700 per question.
