Williams Named Assistant Lab Director for Home Innovation Research Labs

Home Innovation Research Labs is pleased to announce the promotion of Deanna Williams, P.E., to Assistant Lab Director. Deanna has been with Home Innovation for a little over a year, and in that time, has proven herself an invaluable asset to the effective operation of our laboratory testing and certification services. She reports directly to Tom Kenney, P.E., Home Innovation’s Vice President of Engineering & Research.

Deanna is a licensed professional engineer with nearly a decade of experience in engineering firms, and expertise in materials testing, structural forensics, and the design and restoration of buildings, bridges, and other structures. In her new role, she will have oversight responsibilities for Home Innovation’s thermal, plumbing, and steel framing certification programs, as well as unique testing projects the lab is hired to conduct. She will also be responsible for ensuring the lab’s compliance with all applicable test methods and reporting requirements specified by ISO 17065, ISO 17025, ISO 17020 as they apply to the lab’s certification requirements. She will continue to provide consulting and engineer-of-record services for Home Innovation clients seeking ICC-ES code compliance recognition for their products and innovative technologies.

Deanna received both a B.A. in Architecture and a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Penn., and is a licensed P.E. in Pennsylvania.
