Nicolas Ream is the Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing & Project Manager at Montana Heritage Home Builders (MHHB), a custom home building company in Columbia Falls, Montana. Nicolas earned his B.S. degrees in Marketing and Management & Entrepreneurship from the University of Montana. He also holds a M.S. degree in Real Estate and the Built Environment from the University of Denver, Daniels College of Business, Franklin L. Burns School of Real Estate and Construction Management. Along with holding the NGBS Green PRO designation, Nicolas is a LEED Green Associate and a NAHB Master Certified Green Professional. He also holds the following other NAHB designations: Certified Green Professional; Certified New Home Sales Professional; Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist; Graduate Master Builder; Certified Graduate Builder; Certified Graduate Remodeler; and Certified Graduate Associate. In 2021, Nicolas was recognized by NAHB as the Green Professional Designee of the Year. In 2022, he was recognized by NAHB as Sales and Marketing Designee of the Year.
During the 2021 EEBA (Energy & Environmental Building Alliance) conference in Denver, Nicolas attended a session on the NGBS Green+ Certifications. He decided to become a NGBS Green PRO after discovering the designation on the Home Innovation website. During the Green PRO training, he enjoyed learning more about the NGBS Green+ certifications. Nicolas finds the Green PRO marketing materials helpful and uses them to show his expertise in NGBS Green to clients. He uses the Green PRO in his email signature and on his company’s social media accounts. He enjoys when clients ask about the logo so he can educate them about NGBS Green.

About NGBS Green PRO Designation
NGBS Green PRO is a professional designation that validates expertise in green design, construction, and building certification. Successful completion of the NGBS Green PRO training showcases your expertise of sustainable buildings and designates you as a green professional. Individuals who have successfully earned the designation have an advanced understanding of the ICC 700-2020 National Green Building Standard® and the NGBS Green certification program. To earn the designation and become an NGBS Green PRO, an individual must complete four training modules and pass a test for each.
