Market demand data from our 2011 Annual Consumer Practices Survey is now available!

Since 1996, Home Innovation Research Labs’s Annual Consumer Practices Survey (CPS) has documented the brisk and steady climb in high-end home remodeling purchases. In 2009 and 2010, however, the CPS revealed a general retrenchment in this movement. Many high-end products and materials that had made substantial market gains over the past decade began to lose ground to lower-cost competitors. The results of the 2011 CPS clearly indicate a rebound in upscale remodeling products and materials. Granite countertops, fiber-cement exterior siding, hardwood flooring, plastic composite decking, and many other materials saw a boost after a couple years of stagnant growth or decline.

With nearly 30 product categories to choose from, from Appliances and Faucets to Siding and Windows, we have a report suited for every segment of the product manufacturing sector. For more information contact Ed Hudson at 301.430.6305, or Joanne McAlpin at 301.430.6306.
