The 2012 National Green Building Standard: What Builders and Remodelers Need to Know

December 12, 2012
2:00 - 3:00 PM (Eastern)

In its first four years, the ICC 700 National Green Building Standard™ (NGBS) has begun transforming the residential marketplace by providing single and multifamily builders, remodelers, and residential land developers with ANSI-approved guidance on going green. The next version of the NGBS promises to have an even greater impact.

Join Home Innovation Research Labs director of green building programs Michelle Desiderio for an NAHB "Webinar Wednesday" event. The session, where Michelle will be joined by Paul Sullivan, CGR, CAPS, CGP as a speaker, will provide an overview of the NGBS changes and the impact they will have on certification to Home Innovation Labs National Green Building Certification Program. The speakers will also discuss the major changes to the remodeling portion of the 2012 NGBS.

This webinar counts as one hour of continuing education credit for NAHB professional designations. Learning objectives will include:

  • Understanding the impact the revised NGBS will have on certification
  • Learning the effect these changes will have on the verification process
  • Learning about modifications to the remodeling portion of the NGBS
  • Identifying functional areas as defined by the 2012 NGBS
