Michelle Desiderio, vice president of Innovation Services for Home Innovation Research Labs, and Cindy Wasser, Home Innovation's manager of green building programs, will discuss the ICC 700 National Green Building Standard (NGBS) with members of the AIA Westchester Hudson Valley Chapter. The NGBS is the first green building standard approved by ANSI and offers a flexible, credible, and affordable rating system for single-family and multifamily residential developers. It establishes practices for the design and construction of green residential buildings, renovations, and land developments. Michelle and Cindy will cover NGBS requirements, how the Home Innovation's NGBS certification process works, review successful green certified projects, and discuss effective ways to market green home features. This course is eligible for 2 AIA Sustainable Design Learning Unit Credits as well as NAHB Certified Green Professional continuing education credits.
