The National Green Building Standard (NGBS) is the first green building standard approved by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). It offers a flexible, credible, and affordable rating system for residential builders and developers.

The NGBS establishes practices for the design and construction of green residential buildings, renovations, and land developments. NGBS Green Land Development certification offers a flexible option for planned communities, as it can be applied to any community size and density threshold.

Come learn about the NGBS's requirements, gain an understanding of how the certification process works, and view examples of certified projects.
