Deanna Seale, P.E.

Home Innovation is pleased to announce the promotion of Deanna Seale, P.E., to Director of Laboratory Services. A licensed Civil Engineer with dual degrees in Architecture and Civil Engineering from Lehigh University, her appointment to the top spot in the lab follows a tenure of distinguished service as Home Innovation’s assistant director.

In spearheading the reorganization of our existing certification programs, Deanna has already demonstrated a strong commitment to quality and efficiency,” said Michael Luzier, CEO of Home Innovation Research Labs. “We’re confident that her insights and leadership will elevate the testing lab to new levels of success.”

When Deanna joined Home Innovation as a Building Science Engineer, she brought more than a decade of engineering experience, with particular expertise in structural design, third-party product testing, and forensic investigation of structural failures. She quickly distinguished herself as a leader, earning a promotion to Assistant Director of Laboratory Services in 2017. Since then, she has revamped the company’s certification programs and staffing, upgraded its responsiveness to clients, and elevated the lab’s overall testing efficiency.

In her new role, Deanna is responsible for the overall operation of the lab, including client procurement, test plan development, testing execution, product certification programs, and the issuance and maintenance of all lab accreditations. She will also continue to serve as NAHB’s representative and a voting member on the ASCE 7-22 Subcommittee on Seismic Loads.

Building product manufacturers looking to discuss product testing or certification needs can contact Deanna today.
