Public Comment Period for ANSI Square Footage Standard Now Open; Closes November 8, 2020

Home Innovation Research Labs, an ANSI Accredited Standards Development Organization, has opened a public comment period for the second draft of the American National Standard for Single-Family Residential Buildings, Square Footage - Method of Calculating, ANSI Z765-2020. Interested parties may download the Second Draft Standard and link to the Proposed Changes Submission Form by visiting the webpage.

This standard, which has been in use since 1996, addresses the need for uniformity in calculating and reporting square footage (area) measurements of dwellings in the United States.
