WaterSense Labeled Homes Eligible for Builder Incentive

The Central Arizona Groundwater Replenishment District (CAGRD) has launched the Water Efficient Construction Incentive. This new incentive program offers $1,000 rebates per WaterSense labeled home constructed in CAGRD member service areas between June 2023 and May 2024.

Home Innovation is Soliciting Members for Its Certification Impartiality & Oversight Committee

As part of our A2LA accreditation, Home Innovation is required to convene the Certification Impartiality & Oversight Committee as a mechanism for safeguarding its impartiality. The Certification Impartiality and Oversight Committee is to provide oversight and a mechanism to ensure impartiality to the ISO 17065 product certification programs of Home Innovation Research Labs.

Mark It: Certification = Confident Consumers

In January, the National Insulation Association (NIA) announced an updated standard for Faced Metal Building Insulation with two major additional requirements: A third-party certification mark must be on the finished product label for R-value. A third-party certification mark must be on the finished product label for surface burning characteristics.

NGBS Green Certification Recognized Under FHA’s New Green MIP Reductions for Residential Care Facilities

Earlier this month, as published in the May 19th Federal Register, the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) announced its intent to implement significant reductions in the upfront and annual mortgage insurance premiums (MIP) it charges for most mortgage insurance categories under the Section 232 mortgage insurance program for residential care facilities where the facilities meet industry-recognized green building certifications and achieve meaningful, measurable energy and water efficiency improvements.
