      601.7 Prefinished building materials or assemblies listed below have no additonal site-applied finishing material are installed. 1, 2, or 5 For 5 points, 90% or more of the installed wall coverings must be this product. For 2 points, 50-90% of the installed wall coverings must be this product. For 1 point: 35 - 50% of installed wall coverings must be this product.

      CertainTeed Vinyl and Polymer products come pre-colored and do not require additional finish.

      602.1.6 Termite-resistant materials are used in portions of the building. 2,4, or 6 To earn 2 points, product is used in conjunction with other termite-resistant materials for the first 2 ft of all the foundation, floor, and structural wall, wall cladding, and exterior deck components in zones with slight to moderate termite infestation. Four points are awarded when used in conjunction with other termite-resistant materials for the first 3 ft in moderate to heavy termite zones, and 6 points are awarded for use with other termite-resistant materials for all of the foundation, floor, and structural wall, wall cladding, and exterior deck components in areas of very heavy termites.
      610.1.2.1 A product with improved environmental impact measures compared to another product is selected. 2 Points are available when CertaintTeed Vinyl or Vytec Vinyl Siding or soffit are chosen over gneric vinyl, brick, stucco, or Dryvit based on information at www.certainteed.com/resources/FC_LCA_Report_FC057.pdf. The material compard to must be one suitable and reasonable for the building and the local market.

      CertainTeed Vinyl Siding and Soffit products are a more environmentally preferable product based upon the use of the Life Cycle Assessment performed on the product.

      611.1 Product manufacturer's operations and environmental management practices are registered to ISO 14001. 1-3 Points are awarded at 1 point per one percent of building material costs. Material cost breakdown to be verified and points adjusted to reflect actual percentage of all products from 14001 facilities.
