Long-Term Weather Resistance Testing
Evaluate your product's ability to withstand the toughest environmental conditions
Our lab is fully equipped for weather resistance testing and durability testing for materials against wind, rain, heat, cold, sunlight, humidity, and moisture. With dependable and reliable testing data, we help manufacturers understand how their products stand up in real-world conditions.
Corrosion
Corrosion testing is an environmental simulation to evaluate the corrosion resistance of building materials, products, and coatings. Home Innovation can gather data to evaluate your product's or material's resistance to corrosion, as well as the mass lost and physical strength of corroded parts.
Temperature & Humidity
Temperature and humidity testing determines the resistance and effect of building products and materials to environmental extremes. Our lab has small- to large-scale environmental chambers capable of maintaining standard and custom test conditions and cycles – with temperatures as high as 150°F or as low as 10°F.
Missile Impact
Impact testing simulates windborne debris striking a building during a hurricane. Our Air Cannon is capable of launching large (e.g., an 8’ 2x4) and small missiles into building products to understand how they will perform under impact.
UV Exposure
Accelerated weathering simulates the long-term exposure of building products and materials to outdoor conditions. With Xenon Arc and QUV weatherometers we can expose test samples to standard and custom cycles of light, humidity, temperature, and water spray and evaluate the reduction of strength, color change, and deterioration from prolonged exposure.
Wind-Driven Rain
Wind-driven rain testing exposes building products, materials, and systems to simulated storm conditions. Our test chamber is used to measure your product or system's ability to resist water penetration and determine the structural integrity under prescriptive wind loads.
