This report is an evaluation of a test method that can be used to determine if a subfloor fastener is likely to squeak. ITW Paslode developed a test method and contracted with Home Innovation Research Labs to evaluate and validate that method.
To provide builders a possible solution to the callback-inducing problem of floor squeaks in new homes, Paslode developed the TetraGRIP™ fastening system and had Home Innovation Research Labs test its "squeak reduction/elimination" capabilities.
