Set Yourself Apart: Get Certified to the National Green Building Standard
Until recently, multifamily buildings have lagged the green certification market. The National Green Building Standard™ (NGBS) is the first green building standard approved by ANSI and offers a flexible, credible, and affordable rating system for multifamily residential developers. The NGBS establishes practices for the design and construction of green residential buildings, renovations, and land developments.
At this 2013 NAA Green Conference session, learn about the standard’s requirements, understand how the certification process works, and hear from a verifier who has successfully used the NGBS for new and existing apartment buildings. The development of ICC 700 National Green Building Standard will be further explained, as will its scope, and the opportunities for multifamily project certification, and you will learn how to identify program eligibility requirements for NGBS certification.
Speakers for this break-out session will include: Michelle Desiderio, Home Innovation Research Labs; Janet Bowler, C.F. Evans Construction; Sanford Steinberg, Steinberg Design Collaborative, LLP; and Steve Armstrong, Environmental Solutions Group
