As part of its Building America Program, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is engaging college students to participate in the DOE Challenge Home Student Design Competition and become part of this leadership movement to achieve truly sustainable homes. This competition will provide the next generation of architects, engineers, construction managers, and entrepreneurs with skills and experience to start careers in the field of clean energy and generate creative solutions to real-world problems.
Thirty-three teams from North America have registered to compete in the “Race to Zero” and all of the teams have been invited to present their team design to building science experts who will judge the team entries and select the winners of the competition. Team submissions as well as the winners will be posted at the conclusion of the event at the DOE Challenge Home Competition website.
