NGBS Green Certified Projects Get Opportunity to Shine on National Stage

Discounts Available for NGBS Green Certified, Early Birds, Multiple Category Applicants

Great news for all builders who participate in Home Innovation's NGBS Green Certification program - those with NGBS Green Certified projects, "early birds," and those applying for multiple award categories can save big when entering for consideration in the 2018 NAHB Best in Green (BIG) Awards.

Applications for the BIG Awards submitted before June 30 can save $100. Those who have NGBS Green Certified projects and/or apply to another NAHB awards program — such as the Best of 55+ Housing Awards or the Best in American Living™ Awards (BALA) — pay only $50 total for their BIG application.

The prestigious annual BIG awards recognize projects and individuals on the front lines of high-performance and sustainable home construction. The awards include 13 categories, such as single-family custom, multifamily affordable, multifamily market rate, and remodeling. There is also a BIG Young Professional of the Year and, for the first time, a BIG Home Builder Association of the Year.

Also new this year, applicants can submit directly to the BIG awards through NAHB's awards dashboard. Previous BIG awards were only given to winning green projects in other NAHB awards programs.

Don't wait! The application deadline is August 24 and registration prices increase July 1. For additional information, contact NAHB's Sustainability & Green Building Program Manager Megan Carroll (202.266.8325).
